Q-Mark "Care Food" Culinary Competition application is now open!

Presented jointly by Federation of Hong Kong Industries and Hong Kong Q-Mark Council, with strong support from multiple organisations, the "Q-Mark Care Food Culinary Competition" aims to promote the silver economy and a new norm of healthy eating 👴🏻👵🏻. The competition encourages culinary enthusiasts from all sectors to apply their creativity and combine the International Diet Texture and Swallowing Standards (IDDSI) to develop diverse care food options that break traditional boundaries while offering both nutritional value and appealing presentation, helping seniors and individuals with swallowing difficulties rediscover the joy of eating 🍽️.

 

The judging panel will evaluate entries based on creativity, nutritional value, presentation, and compliance with IDDSI standards 🧑‍🍳, with a focus on recognising teams that demonstrate exceptional creativity and social concern in the care food field. Whether you participate as an individual or as part of a team, if you have creativity and culinary skills, we welcome your participation! 🤝

 

🎁 Prizes and Rewards:

  • Total prize value exceeds HK$20,000!

  • Each contestant team will receive a HK$500 German Pool cash voucher 

  • Each contestant team will also receive a HK$300 food ingredient subsidy

📅 Competition Schedule

  • Registration Period: From now until Tuesday, 7 July 2026

  • Announcement of Contestants: Friday, 10 July 2026 (6 contestant teams selected from online preliminary competition)

  • Training and Cookware Trial: Saturday, 18 July 2026, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    Location: German Pool To Kwa Wan Showroom (Room 2-4, Upper G/F, Newport Centre,116 Ma Tau Kok Rd)

  • On-site Final Competition and Award Presentation: Sunday, 16 August 2026, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
    Location: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Exhibition Hall 3C Performance Stage (Food Expo Grand Stage)
