FHKI Celebrates Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility at
Industry Cares Recognition Scheme 2023 Presentation Ceremony

The Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) and our Committee on Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR Committee) proudly hosted the Industry Cares Recognition Scheme 2023 Presentation Ceremony yesterday (26 Sept). The esteemed event was graced by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Chris Sun, who served as the Guest of Honour.  Mr Sun and FHKI Chairman Steve Chuang jointly bestowed the prestigious awards upon companies that had demonstrated exemplary CSR initiatives over the past year.  Both Lalamove and Roborn Technology Limited won the Grand Award in the Corporate and SME categories.

FHKI Chairman, Steve Chuang, proudly presented the 11th anniversary of the event, themed 'Gather Positive Energy, Create a New Chapter' in his welcome speech. He fully recognised the inspiring efforts made by businesses in stepping up their social responsibilities and, in particular, in extending a helping hand towards the disadvantaged amidst the journey towards normalcy. He thanked all sectors for their support, which has allowed the Industry Cares Recognition Scheme to continue to this day, with a total of over 800 companies registered. This achievement, he noted, is a testament to the tireless efforts of the CSR Committee's Honorary President, Alan Cheung, and its new Chairman, Terrence Hui. He further asserted, “I am steadfast in my belief that businesses, irrespective of their size, can seamlessly integrate CSR into their operations, allowing serving the community an integral part of their core purpose." He closed by extending his warmest congratulations to all the much deserved award participants.

Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Chris Sun, also offered his warmest congratulations and deep appreciation towards the award-winning companies for their unwavering dedication to enriching our community through positive contributions. "Even amid adverse business environment," he said, "our enterprises remain steadfast in upholding their corporate social responsibilities, continually infusing our society with positive energy." In addition, he praised FHKI for their relentless efforts in spearheading with such a meaningful Industry Cares Recognition Scheme. He emphasised that this initiative stands as a strong commitment towards inspiring all organisations to proactively weave social responsibilities into the fabric of their strategic business planning.

Expressing his gratitude, Chairman of the CSR Committee, Terrence Hui, stated in his speech, “The active participation of companies has broadened and intensified their understanding and that of our industry in CSR. Their commendable efforts have not only further enhanced our community but also inspired greater number of industry players to contribute to our society, creating even larger societal value."
