The dissemination seminar was one of the deliverables of the Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund project - "To promote the comprehensive technical competency of Hong Kong precision mould and plastic component manufacturing industry through technical demonstrations in global market". It was successfully held on 19 July 2024 (Friday) to summarise and share the industry's exhibition experience at CHINAPLAS 2024.

The sharing session invited Mr Nelson Fu, Joint CEO of Ace Mold Co Ltd, whose company has exhibited at CHINAPLAS 2024 – to share his insights and results of the exhibition. Additionally, Ms Angie Cheung, Assistant Principal Consultant of the Plastic and Composite Material Technology, Smart Manufacturing Division of Hong Kong Productivity Council, the project's implementation agenct, provided an overall summary of the exhibition and introduced the arrangements for the upcoming FAKUMA exhibition in Germany in October.

"Hong Kong Pavilion" was held at CHINAPLAS 2024 in Shanghai. Apart from the hundred products displayed, a live production line was also showcased for the first time. It aimed not only to demonstrate Hong Kong's precision mould and plastic parts manufacturing technology and complete production solutions, allowing domestic and international audiences to understand Hong Kong's capabilities in precision mould and plastic manufacturing, but also helping Hong Kong enterprises to understand the international suppliers and customers’ demands. It is hoped that Hong Kong enterprises can understand the requirements of international suppliers and customers and enhance the ability of Hong Kong's mould and plastic industry to expand into the international market through direct communication.
