Jointly organised by Federation of Hong Kong Industries and China CITIC Bank (International), the Celebration Reception and Sharing Seminar for "Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong" (YIAH) and "Industrialist of the Year Award" (IOY) 2024 was successfully held at The St. Regis Hong Kong on 18 December 2024. Industry leaders and past awardees gathered to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of this year's recipients, while fostering collaboration and showcasing successful industrial innovations.

 

Since the launch of YIAH in 1988 and 2002 respectively, YIAH and IOY have been regarded as flagship events in the industrial and business community. Through a rigorous evaluation process, this year's winners came from various industries. As FHKI Chairman Steve Chuang pointed out, each winner exemplifies "Hong Kong-style New Quality Productive Forces" at its best. They promote sustainable development through smart manufacturing and combine innovative technology with traditional industries, fully demonstrating the determination and capability of Hong Kong's new generation of industrialists in driving high-quality industrial development! Ms Wendy Yuen, Deputy Head of Personal & Business Banking Group and Head of Distribution of China CITIC Bank (International), also stated that, " We will continue to support young industrialists, uphold the bank's beliefs, and help the industrial sector maintain sustainable development and transformation, enhance competitiveness, and create unlimited possibilities."

 

The seminar was honored to have several industry leaders share their valuable insights, exploring the development direction of Hong Kong-style New Quality Productive Forces from multiple perspectives, including business operations, technological innovation, academic research, and financial services. Hong Kong can fully leverage its dual advantages as an international financial center and innovation technology hub to drive industrial innovation through smart manufacturing upgrades, digital transformation, and sustainable decarbonization initiatives. These valuable insights fully demonstrate the development potential of Hong Kong's new quality productivity and provide guidance for young industrialists.
