FHKI Group 2 (Hong Kong Building Materials & Construction Industries Council) and Young Executive Council (YEC) successfully co-hosted a seminar titled “Innovative Pathways: Enhancing Housing Development and Youth Advancement through Construction Opportunities in the Northern Metropolis" on 12 May 2026, with over 50 members in attendance.

We were honoured to have Ms Winnie Ho, JP, Secretary for Housing, share her insights on the latest planning of the Northern Metropolis, housing development positioning, and construction prospects. The seminar focused on the theme “From Planning to Implementation”, featuring two distinguished industry experts, including:

- Ir Hon Aaron Bok, Member of the Legislative Council (Engineering Constituency)

- Prof Eddie Hui, MH, JP, Chair Professor of Urban Policy and Management of City University of Hong Kong

The event was officiated by welcoming remarks from Mr Philip Cho, Chairman of Group 2 (Hong Kong Building Materials & Construction Industries Council) and Ms Serena Cheng, Chairman of YEC. It also received strong support from leaders, including Mr CK Kwok, Vice Chairman of Group 2 (Hong Kong Building Materials & Construction Industries Council), Mr Nicolas Lai and Dr David Kwok, Vice Chairman of YEC, creating a lively atmosphere of exchange.
