As the debut upskilling workshop of the 4th STARS Programme organised by Hong Kong Startup Council, the workshop “Marketing Essentials for Startups” covered an array of fundamentals and practical tips for marketing beginners on 8 September. 

During the workshop, Dr Royce Yuen, a branding and marketing guru, shed light on a handful of best practices in food marketing, coupled with intriguing brand-building ideas. The speaker also engaged the participants in a brainstorming session, where all startups were assigned to narrate pitching stories to draw prospective investors’ interests. At the end of the workshop, Dr Yuen encouraged all startups not to give up but to take on challenges amid the tough times to bring about future-proof food technology to the world.
