The “Hong Kong Value Creation for Technology: Pitching Competition” and “Meet the Mentors”, jointly organised by the Hong Kong Startup Council under Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and the Angel Investment Foundation, were successfully held from 13 to 15 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Executive Committee members of the Council were honoured to be invited as mentors and judges for the event, which aimed to discover innovative start-up teams and help them gain practical business thinking through industry exchanges, thereby supporting the development of Hong Kong’s start-up ecosystem.

At the “Meet the Mentors” session held on 14 October, the Council’s Vice-Chairman engaged in in-depth one-on-one discussions with start-up teams, offering suggestions on product positioning, business models and market pain points. Many teams remarked that these practical insights helped them uncover blind spots, greatly benefiting their future planning and development. The “Hong Kong Value Creation for Technology: Pitching Competition” held its preliminary and final rounds on 13 and 15 October respectively. In the end, 10 start-up teams entered the final round, where they delivered exceptional business pitches and competed for multiple awards, demonstrating the strength and potential of Hong Kong’s start-ups.
